One year since BP's oil disaster

Just over a year after the worst oil spill to occur in the Gulf of Mexico, the impact can still be felt far and wide. On April 20, 2011, BP’s Deepwater Horizon offshore rig exploded releasing more than 200 million gallons of crude oil into the Gulf polluting everything in its vicinity. Eleven workers died in the drilling explosion and another 16 were injured. Extensive damage was felt by surrounding marine-and-wildlife habitats, including hundreds of miles of Louisiana coastline. CNN’s Soledad O’Brien takes a look back at the past year since the spill.
