I thought this little tidbit, buried in a New York Post piece about Obama's star-studded birthday fund-raiser, was classic:
Earlier yesterday, Obama continued his battle with Congress by slamming lawmakers for leaving the Capitol without first voting to pass a new funding bill for the FAA.
Without the vote, the FAA has had to lay off 4,000 non-essential workers, delay construction projects. It also can't collect airline taxes.
As Glenn Reynolds might say, that's not a bug - it's a feature!
If only the president cared as much about private sector employees earning paychecks as he does about public sector employees, and the tax revenue they can collect for him...
